As you launch your career in Retail Operations, you will be mentored by Store Management and Company Leadership who will guide your experience while you learn how to successfully manage a K-VA-T Food Stores, Inc. retail store. A typical program may consist of the following:
- Learn the competencies required to lead a team in several departments within the Front-End, Produce, Grocery, Food Service, Meat/Seafood, Pharmacy, and Merchandising areas to understand the operations and functionality of each area.
- Participating in K-VA-T Food Stores, Inc. trainings, meetings, and presentations to gain retail industry knowledge and learn best business practices.
- Gain exposure to company measures including sales, shrink, and contribution using internal systems.
- Prepare and implement a Continuous Improvement project which will be formally presented at the conclusion of the program.
