Technician Internship Program

FLSA Status: 16-24 hours/week. The Research Intern will be responsible for working at the direction of senior researchers, supporting analytic and project management functions including working with data and helping create client deliverables.

Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with project management, in collaboration with Account Executives and Researchers.

Assist with:

  • Questionnaire programming and testing
  • Sample management for telephone and Internet studies, including monitoring of surveys and other methodologies while in field
  • Support analysis at the direction of and in collaboration with other researchers
  • Data cleaning
  • Creating frequency and cross-tabulation tables for quantitative studies
  • A variety of statistical methods, e.g., Chi Square, Pearson’s correlations, T-tests, ANOVA, Multiple Regression, Cluster Analysis, Factor Analysis and Discriminant Analysis, etc. as needed to meet client objectives at the direction of senior researchers
  • Categorizing and coding responses to open-end questions to understand more nuances in the data to inform the overall analysis
  • Conducting secondary/Internet information gathering projects such as best practice profiling, issues identification and trending, competitor profiling, new business intelligence gathering, etc.
  • Assist with the accuracy of reported data
  • Help make data readable and beautiful in PPT charts by using inspiration from designs like infographics to create supporting graphs
  • All other duties assigned by supervisor or otherwise directed by the company

Requirements:

  • Recent graduate with a BS/BA/MS in statistics, political science, psychology and or graphic design preferred, with those in last year prior to graduation or other social science degrees/degree desired.
  • Positive outlook, collaborative, and motivated.
